Four Corners Association exists to foster a square dance environment which is welcoming and integrating to new dancers. FCA believes that callers are the primary motivators of this Activity and should always serve to keep the Activity open and relevant.
The four corners of the FCA are:
- Callers – recruit, support, educate and re-educate callers whose prospects and
intentions support the FCA mission. - Clubs – assist with the creation of new clubs and create new opportunities for existing
clubs. - Program – develop programs which reflect the evolution of square dancing from
traditional, thru western, to modern which encourage recruitment and retention of
new dancers. - Dancers – use the first 3 corners to make square dancing fun for dancers (it’s not
dancing without dancers). Use creative methods to reach across demographic
boundaries for continued promotion of the square dance activity.
The FCA began on Tuesday, February 19, 2013. The founding members, Al Hipkins, Walt Bull, and Gracie Tudan Bull, are committed to creating a square dance organization which will continually evolve to meet the changing landscape in which we call, teach and dance.
